A new production of Eva O’Connor’s MAZ AND BRICKS is now playing at the Atlas Performing Arts Centre in Washington DC, produced by Solas Nua.

Eva O’Connor’s Maz and Bricks tells the story of two young people who meet over the course of a day in Dublin. Maz is attending a ‘Repeal the 8th’ demonstration, while Bricks is going to meet the mother of his young daughter.  As the day unfolds, the two become unlikely friends, changing each other in ways they never thought possible.

Maz and Bricks was originally commissioned by Fishamble, and premiered in Dublin, 2017, in the run up to the referendum. Followed by an Irish tour and the Edinburgh Festival.  It has also enjoyed successful productions in New York and Portland, USA.

This new production of Maz and Bricks, playing in Washington, opened on Saturday 11th June and will continue until the 26th of June.

Eva is currently working on a new play with Fishamble – DELORES, and will be taking her one woman show MUSTARD to Edinburgh this year with their support.

Eva O’Connor is represented by Frances Arnold.
