Dan Zeff has directed the adaptation of David Walliams’ successful children’s book Gangsta Granny Strikes Again! A sequel to the 2013 Gangsta Granny film.
This 60′ Xmas special follows Ben a year on as he gets used to life without his beloved granny, the international jewel thief known as The Black Cat. When Ben learns of a new jewel thief using granny’s old tricks, he finds himself on another adventure unravelling the mystery.
Gangta Granny Strikes Again! will tx this Friday 16th December on CBBC at 5:30pm, then again on BBC1 on Monday 19th December at 4:15pm. The special will be available to watch on iPlayer from 16th December 2022.
Dan’s many credits include: single films Eric, Ernie & Me, Hattie and Hitler the Artist; comedy series Pramface, Siblings and Ideal; and serials Lost in Austen and The Ice Cream Girls. Dan’s latest work, as lead director on Silverpoint, was nominated in the Scripted category at BAFTA’s Children & Young People Awards 2022.
