Jan Needle’s WILD WOOD – new edition from Golden Duck

Wild Wood, Jan Needle’s re-imagining of Kenneth Grahame’s ‘The Wind in the Willows’ will be released in a new edition on May 1st, published by Golden Duck.

Illustrated by Willie Rushton, WILD WOOD tells the much-loved tale from a very different perspective. Jan writes: “It occurred to me that Mr Toad and his chums from the River Bank didn’t know that they were born. Mr Toad lived in a glorious mansion from which he bought and abandoned executive toys on the merest whim. The servants who existed to service his desires were not even mentioned. They were invisible, taken for granted.”

“absolutely wonderful, joyous satire” – Paul Foot

Jan Needle is represented by Frances Arnold.
