John Morton‘s play Denouement has been shortlisted for this year’s Popcorn Award. In light of the cancelled festival, the Popcorn Group decided to go ahead with the shortlisting and whittled the 133 plays, originally due to open in August, down to just eight:
‘Organisers Charlotte Colbert and Jessica Malik of Popcorn Group, say, “We believe in the bold and adventurous spirit of the Edinburgh Fringe and although it has been cancelled this year, we wanted to help to find a way to keep its spirit alive.”’
