Stephen is a writer/director whose current original feature projects include, The Damage Done (in development with Creative England), The Sloth Movie (in development with Bigscope Pictures for producer Jason Newmark and director Mark Munden). He has also written the treatment for original single film Big Sue (W/T) commissioned by Me and You Productions and based on the life of Lucien Freud’s muse.
Stephen recently delivered a rewrite of The Fastest Way Down for Newscope/Hanway/Creative England, and his original feature A Bollywoof Tale, for Jason Newmark/Nisha Parti/Icon has backing from the BFI and Frederick Du Chau attached to direct. He wrote Severance II for Dan Films.
His feature Flutter (producer Sarah Boote – cast includes Billy Zane, Joe Anderson and Max Brown) premiered at Raindance in 2011 and won Best Screenplay at the British Independent Film Festival.
His short, To Leech, produced by Seb Loden and starring Jason Watkins and Julian Rhind-Tutt was awarded full funding from the BFI under the BFI/Lighthouse Initiative and has been screened at the London Film Festival, the London Short Film Festival and Flickerfest in Australia.
Stephen also has several TV projects in development including Erewhon with Cove Pictures, Release with Duchess Street Productions, The Split with Mammoth Screen, Exposure with Wall to Wall, and Gone Viral and The Avenue with Kindle.
