Nancy Harris is the writer and creator of The Dry, a new 8-episode comedy drama series directed by Paddy Breathnach for Element Films/Britbox/RTE. This will be Nancy’s first original TV series.
The Dry follows newly sober Shiv as she returns to her family home in Dublin after years of partying in London. Back with family, Shiv learns that staying on ‘the dry’ is much harder than expected.
Roisin Gallagher stars as Shiv Sheridan, with Ciaran Hinds and Pom Boyd as her parents. The whole cast is brilliant.

Nancy is an award-winning writer from Dublin. Nancy wrote the book and lyrics and Marc Teitler the music and lyrics of a musical based on Kate diCamillo’s The Magician’s Elephant which opened at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford, in October 2021.
