Neasa Hardiman‘s first feature film, written and directed, will be released on all VoD platforms in the USA on Friday 10th April. Due to the global pandemic, the cinema release is being deferred but we will update our website as soon as a new date is announced.
Described by critics as “harrowing and intelligent” (Collider), “wildly entertaining” (RogerEbert.com), and “compelling” (The Hollywood News), Sea Fever is a slow-burn eco-thriller with a sci-fi edge. The film follows marine biologist Siobhán, who prefers to spend her days alone in the lab. For her doctorate, she has to endure a research week on a ragged fishing trawler, where she’s miserably at odds with the close-knit crew. But out in the deep Atlantic, an unfathomable life form ensnares the boat. When crew members succumb to a strange infection, Siobhán must overcome her alienation and anxiety to win the crew’s trust before all is lost.
