Described by critics as “harrowing and intelligent” (Collider), “wildly entertaining” (RogerEbert.com), and “compelling” (The Hollywood News), Sea Fever is a slow-burn eco-thriller with a sci-fi edge. The film follows marine biologist Siobhán, who prefers to spend her days alone in the lab. For her doctorate, she has to endure a research week on a ragged fishing trawler, where she’s miserably at odds with the close-knit crew. But out in the deep Atlantic, an unfathomable life form ensnares the boat. When crew members succumb to a strange infection, Siobhán must overcome her alienation and anxiety to win the crew’s trust before all is lost.
