Mark Oswin

Mark Oswin has written on a number of CBBC shows including So Awkward, Lagging, 4 O’Clock Club, Danger Mouse, Hank Zipzer, All At Sea, The Revolting World of Stanley Brown, Strange Hill High, Jinx, Hotel Trubble, and Still So Awkward. He co-created The Riddleswick Mysteries with Lucy Guy and Julia Kent for CBBC, and the BAFTA-winning CBBC online mystery drama Dixi.

Mark wrote Placebo for BBC3, co-wrote Comedy Lab: Skin Deep for Channel 4, co-wrote on Trexx & Flipside for BBC3 as well as writing and performing on the BBC2 sketch show Comedy Nation.

He has written for ITV on Horrible Science and Aardman’s Lloyd of the Flies; for Boomerang on My Spy Family; for Cbeebies on Supertato; and for Nickelodeon on Summer In Transylvania, Hunter Street and the award-winning Goldie’s Oldies – on which he was head writer. Mark also provided additional writing on 2020 feature film Four Kids and It.

Mark was BAFTA nominated in 2014 for 4 O’Clock Club, 2015 for All At Sea and again in 2017 for Hank Zipzer. He was nominated for WGGB Awards in 2015 for Strange Hill High and in 2017 for Danger Mouse.

Recently, Mark polished scripts across season 2 of CBBC’s Lagging and acted as Story Consultant for season 3, in addition to writing an episode. He acted as Script Consultant on the development of an animated series for BBC Ignite and wrote two episodes of CBBC’s So Awkward spin-off show So Awkward Academy. He is also working on three as-yet untitled feature film projects.
