Clive Exton

Sadly, Clive died in August 2007. He will be remembered for many splendid works for television and film including the screenplay for Ten Rillington Place, Jeeves and Wooster (all scripts for four series) and many of the original Poirot and Rosemary and Thyme scripts for Brian Eastman.

Clive Exton’s diabolically funny play play Barking in Essex was produced at the Wyndham’s Theatre in the West End in 2013, starring the brilliant Lee Evans and Sheila Hancock. This world premiere was directed by Harry Burton (The Dumb Waiter, The Leisure Society) and produced by Michael Edwards and Carole Winter for MJE Productions. The text is published by Methuen.
