Patrick Harkins directed the opening three episodes of the third and final series of Happy Valley, collaborating with Sally Wainwright who shares the directing credit. Series three begins at 9pm on the 1st of January 2023 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Happy Valley 3 sees Sergeant Catherine Cawood (Sarah Lancashire) nearing retirement from the police force, when she finds the remains of a murder victim, ultimately leading her back to Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton).
Patrick’s currently in post on Guilt 3, having directed the BAFTA and RTS winning Guilt 2. Other recent credits include Tin Star and The A-List.
