Jeff Murphy was a screenwriter, author and script consultant. A BAFTA winner for his work on the successful detective show Hinterland, Jeff was involved in a range of projects in both feature film and television.
His first feature Denmark, starring Rafe Spall, was released in 2019. Financed by BBC Films and FAW. TV crime show Hidden (Severn Screen/S4C) for which Jeff wrote two episodes aired on BBC channels in June 2018. He was also a producer on the series.
His book on boxer Johnny Owen, published by Random House and adapted by Jeff for the screen, was elected the Sunday Times Sports Book of the Month.
Jeff also delivered a lecture on creative thought ‘Where Ideas Come From’.
