Congratulations to Jonny O’Neill, who has been nominated for EastEnders Scene of the Year at The British Soap Awards 2023.
The scene, “Whitney and Zack Say Goodbye To Peach” featured in Jonny’s EastEnders episode that aired on Thursday 6th March 2023.
In the episode, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and Zack Hudson (James Farrar) said their final goodbyes to baby daughter Peach, after she was diagnosed with Edward’s syndrome.
EastEnders fans were reported to be left “sobbing” and devastated after the episode aired, and have praised the team for handing the storyline with such care and sensitivity.
The episode is available to watch on BBC iPlayer, dated 06/03/23.
Winners will be announced at The British Soap Awards 2023 Ceremony at The Lowry Salford Quays on Saturday 3rd June.
